It started in the 2nd floor kitchen and destroyed the 3rd & 4th floors. Fortunately there was minimal damage to the 1st floor tavern. It started at midnight. The band was playing "Light My Fire" as smoke filled the room and the crowd left in an orderly fashion, some even stopping to blow out the candles on their tables, according to an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer. In her works, Lau Blou finds a masterful balance between chaos and negative space. Lau Blou is inspired by the textures of life––culture, storytelling, and the geometry of the land––all of which she transcribes onto canvas abstractly. She describes her paintings as poetry––ripe with emotion and character; her signature reds and blues transport and mystifies. Lau Blou now devotes her life to painting and divides her time between sports and arts associations in Chambéry, France.
